Top 5 Favorite Books So Far of 2014!

Today’s blog is going to be a little different! I’m not actually reviewing a book but rather sharing my top 5¬†very most favorite books that I’ve read and loved thus far in 2014. Also, these are books that I strictly read this year, not necessarily ones that were published this year. I debated between top 2 favorite books, top 5, top 10…I didn’t want it to be too lengthy so I decided on top 5!

1-¬†The Fault In Our Stars¬†by John Green- I’m sure by now everyone knows the premise of this book. A tale of love no matter the odds that must be overcome and what it truly means to live. It is SO well written and the story is just beautiful. You can read my full review here:¬†

2-Elusion by Claudia Gabel and Cheryl Klam- This book captured my interest from the start. A virtual world within a dystopian society that starts to fall apart…full review here:¬†

3-¬†Splintered¬†by A.G. Howard- A twisted retelling of the Wonderland you thought you knew from Lewis Carroll…¬†

4-Divergent¬†by Veronica Roth- Like TFIOS, everyone has heard about this book by now! Out of the trilogy, this one is my favorite. I love it! A society divided into factions based on how you view the world…¬†

5-Her Dark Curiosity¬†by Megan Shepherd- I read book 1 of this trilogy last year and eagerly anticipated the release of book two,¬†Her Dark Curiosity. Twisted and creepy,¬†Her Dark Curiosity¬†takes readers on an adventure through a world where science and medicine meet evil…¬†

So these are my top 5 absolute favorites thus far in 2014! Have you read any of these? What did you think? What are your favorites from the year so far? ūüôā
